Is Climate Change Consensus Misunderstood in Education?

I will make an off the cuff set of remarks about this episode of Joe Rogan with Bernie Sanders that I finally watched. It's incomplete and most probably incoherent but I found some elements that I feel are important to annotate.

Climate Change

Bernie has the standard view on existential human created climate change. When Joe highlights the Washington Post articles which, inconveniently for the general narrative, shows that we are in the big scheme of things in a cooling phase, Bernie pauses, says he didn't read the article and then moves on citing the consensus position. As a reninder the consensus position of climatologues is that 97% of the climate researchers that actually made a clame for or against the human generated climate change and which is only 32% of the climate science papers are in a consensus. That means almost 70% don't take a position on it. Bernie jumping back to the consensus position that he doesn't actually know is defined this way shows a potential capture by ideas instead of a neutral stance on reality.
