I find the new panel composition interesting in its own right. Why? Because it's diverse and aligned with what the intuition of the public was when the MAHA part of MAGA was voted in. So it's first and foremost because it's democratic that I like it.
The reaction of what I call the pill pushers, which put more generously are the people who believe that the current healthcare system is doing its best and that it's the laziness of people that explains the constant decline in metabolic health of the population, surprises me. What are they afraid of? That all vaccines will be banned? That new ones will be more difficult to put on the schedule? The second is a possibility and the first won't happen anytime soon. Why? Because the last thing RFK needs is a popular revolt so he will go slowly, step by step and will just increase freedom of choice.
Now what about the second fear? Who cares? How many diseases do we need to eradicate for the "no one should ever die from any virus or bacteria" side to be happy? And why are they not satisfied by having the choice of vaccinating themselves?
I'm lost about the problem everyone is fighting about. You?
